The President's Commitment to Excellence Award recognizes those who have performed at an exceptional level going above and beyond expectations while making significant and notable contributions that advance the 3C's, institutional priorities, and strategic goals of the College.

Criteria includes: consistently providing excellent service outcomes, having a significant impact on colleagues, students and/or the community, delivering on the Mott Community College Mission, and demonstrating excellence under the Mott Community College Three Cs - Commitment, Civility and Compliance.

All employees, temporaries and Mott partners (anyone who works for or provides service to Mott) are eligible to receive the award. Nominations can be submitted by students, employees, temporaries and Mott partners.

The program recognizes contributions during the previous year (July 1 – June 30).

Nominations will be accepted starting August 13, 2024 and should be submitted to the President's Office no later than September 6, 2024. The nomination form requests evidence and examples of excellence that go above and beyond the ordinary, for example, a project, event, accomplishment or creation of systemic change. The President reserves the right to select those who have shown exemplary achievement without receiving a nomination, to call for nominations and recognize recipients at other times of the year, and to modify any aspect of the recognition program.

The President or their designee(s) will determine the award recipients.

Award Includes:

  • A framed certificate
  • A $100 individual gift card
  • Recognition at the All-Employee Meeting on Thursday, September 26, 2024

Recipients may also be featured in public posters and banners recognizing employee excellence at the discretion of the College.
