Marketing and Communications (Mar-Comm) administers all marketing at MCC, both external (public-facing) and internal (facing students and staff).
Mar-Comm oversight includes media relations; digital, multi-media and out-of-home advertising; on-campus physical and digital messaging; social media; partners with ITS on College website maintenance; and provides marketing materials for academic divisions and student success services.
The MarComm staff works closely with members of the traditional media to ensure the MCC story is told completely, whether we’re promoting our outstanding faculty, the College’s ever-evolving curriculum or MCC’s commitment to the community. The MarComm staff has the network and the expertise to tell that story, in the right places and at the right time to reach the right audience.
Over half of the information an individual takes in from any form of communication is visual. That means the design of documents, brochures, posters and billboards is as important as the content--and it's more than just pretty pictures. Design is a cohesive image that links the visuals with the intended audience to make the most impactful message, while still upholding the brand of the College.
As the chief storytellers of MCC, Mar-Comm responsibilities take in more than design and media relations. Our office also manages sponsorship requests, strategic messaging and any other marketing priorities.
