Your direct contribution (in any amount) or planned bequest to The Foundation for Mott Community College will be used to repurpose and revitalize the former Woodside Church building immediately adjacent to MCC’s main campus in Flint, turning this Flint landmark into the Lenore Croudy Family Life Center at Mott Community College.
The Family Life Center will preserve and promote Mrs. Croudy’s history of service to both MCC and the broader community through expanded, high-quality Early Childhood options for zero to five year olds, many of whom have been affected by the Flint Water Crisis.
The building will also house MCC’s academic program serving approximately 200 college-age students who are seeking training or an Associate’s Degree to become a professional in the high-demand field of Early Childhood Education.
Lastly, the Lenore Croudy Family Life Center will serve as a welcome beacon and safe haven for Mott’s students and their families, providing access to a food pantry, a clothing closet, and referrals to the many student and family support services available at MCC and in the broader community. Students with challenges related to food, housing, childcare, transportation, healthcare and other personal barriers to academic success will be served daily in a facility named after Lenore Croudy -- a community leader who deeply believed that education was a game changer for Flint and Genesee County students and families.
