Program Description

Youth Build is an empowering "Earn and Learn" transformational program designed for individuals aged 18 to 24. It provides participants with the skills, education and support necessary to build a successful future. The program offers a positive and inclusive environment where young adults can choose from tracks in Certified Nursing Assistant training, Construction or Welding certificate programs all while working towards obtaining their GED if they haven't already done so. Each track also offers a stipend. This initiative specifically supports young adults living in the following zip codes in Genesee County: 48503, 48504, 48505, 48506, 48507 and 48458.

  • Welding Certificate Track
  • Case Management: Career and Advising
  • Leadership Development Training
  • Transitional Services: Employment Placement or Post-Secondary with 12 month follow up

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ages 18- 24
  • Working towards a GED or having a High School Diploma
  • Reside in Genesee County
